Career Polititions should not be allowed

The only way to fix our broken political system is to put in a term limit of one term.

At the present time, if you want to talk to a Representative or Senator, you have to ante up some re-election campaign money.  Once I wanted to talk to a senator, I was told a contribution of $10,000. would be required for a meeting.  We never met.

The present day politicians are so worried about getting re-elected that they won't do anything that the party bosses don't want them to do,  if they don't do what they are told to do, they won't get the re-election support or the committee seat that they want.  This system is very corrupt.

When they live in DC for a while, they don't even know what their constituents want, they only know what the party wants and will vote for it so they can get the best chance for re-election.

The Founders of our constitution did not intend for these people to be career politicians, they envisioned a person serving a term, then going back home to their regular occupations.

We can fix this system by limiting these people to one term, then they won't need all the re-election funds and will be more able to vote for what their constituents want and their conscience allows.
This would greatly reduce the power of the party bosses,  influence peddlers and lobbyists who throw re-election funds at our elected officials to influence their votes.
